SEO for Marc Millar Photography

Marc was struggling to update his website effectively.  It was taking up far too much of his precious time. However, an even bigger problem was the fact that it was difficult to find his business in Google.

The website was good, but needed to be restructured and optimised for search engines. Marc was happy with Squarespace, the content management platform his site sits on, so we worked with that.

A plan was put into action. The structure and content of the website would be pulled together, with calls to action peppered throughout the pages. In the background we ensured the best page naming, page titles and meta data was implemented, and content was linked together properly.

The business was registered with Google Business, Google Maps, MSN BING places, and with the most important webmaster tools. Once everything was in place, the site was resubmitted for indexing by Google and BING.

You can see (just!) from the Google Console screenshot shown here that unique visitors have increased by 287%, and page views by 279% in the first six weeks of SEO work.

webPorty continues to work on the website, and this is paying dividends in terms of visitor numbers and customer engagement.

And the picture of the dog? That is just Marc's very cool dog named Dood...

Take a look at Marc's amazing wedding photography.

What the client says...

"webPorty has helped me out with the redesign and SEO of my Squarespace website. After an initial chat-through of what I was wanting to achieve, John completely understood and went over and above delivering a course of action that has seen some amazing results.

His attention to detail has freed up so much more of my time to actually run my Photography business rather than worry about getting traffic to my site. Now I have even more traffic to my site since John has taken over the SEO. Very helpful and friendly service."

A shiny new website for Brighton Nursery

The new website was created in less than two weeks, as the client needed to update their content quickly. There was, however no compromise in terms of standards and deployment.

The website is powered by WordPress, giving Brighton Nursery the ability to easily update pages and posts. It also means that the nursery is able to update parents, automatically posting to Facebook and Twitter. It is, of course, fully responsive, working on smartphones and tablets as well as desktops.

webPorty also managed the transiton to a new domain name, ensuring the nursery's long-standing on-line reputation with Google and MSN were maintained.

Finally John photographed the nursery and staff for the website and future marketing purposes.

Portrait Photography for CN Defence

Kenny asked me to provide photography for the CN Defence website. Kenny and Matthew provided an entertaining afternoon with some dramatic backdrops, and an insight into the shady world of Criminal Defence.
